Vet Parade
Posted by on3rd Daisy Mountain Veteran’s Day Parade With American Legion 105
As proud members of the American Legion Riders we are again proudly supporting the Daisy Mountain veterans parade. The parade will start at 10 in the morning and we invite other riders to join us. We expect over 100 marchers to attend the parade there will be events held after the parade at around 12 including a picnic at Gavillan Peak softball pitch. The parade will start at Boulder school and end at the community center.
A Blackhawk Helicopter will be landing at 9.30 am and staying for around 5 hours. That will be really exciting for the kids and even more exciting for us Riders! The family picnic will start from 12 and go on for around four hours. Breakfast begins at 6.30 for you hardcore fans at Post 105. We will leave on convoy for the parade at 7.30 exactly.
We think this is a fantastic event to show our support for the veterans who have supported our country and our freedom. We want all, the young and old, to do their civic duty and show our appreciation on mass to these brave men and women who served the country with pride and distinction. We believe these people should never be forgotten as the result of their actions live on. Let’s march to show them we, our children and our children’s children will be forever grateful. Our effort in turning up for the march is tiny against their gargantuan fortitude. Many of these men had their lives irrevocably altered in ways we cannot imagine. Watching death all around you and knowing you were playing Russian roulette with your life is hard for any mortal to take. Many people believe we should thankful of the veterans effort in the wars of our country, which is true. But we must also thank them for carrying the lifetime burden they have been given so that we can live a full and free life. We can never comprehend what they have given but we will try to understand and give thanks to them.
Join us on this parade, we would love to see other riders show thanks as well. Lets show the World what it is to be an American.
We look forward to seeing all our brothers there. Thanks
